The presentations this evening by all of the design teams were amazing and we feel honored to have had the opportunity to be amongst the finalists and to share our design for the Resilient River with all of you.  Thank you for watching either in person or via webcast and for all of the support!

Kongjian Yu from Turenscape, Steve Durrant from Alta, Nate Cormier from SvR and Tom Meyer from MS&R have been enjoying the last couple days in the beautiful, snowy Minneapolis and are excited for tonight’s big presentation!

These photos above were taken just recently after leaving the team’s meeting with the Parks superintendent and while walking along the riverfront with the National Geographic crew.  The director and film crew have been following and filming Kongjian Yu as part of a documentary which will feature Turenscape’s role in a “Green China Rising”.  The crew also followed the team while in Beijing earlier this month while they were working on the movie that will be presented to the public and the competition jury this evening.

Today, members of the Turenscape Team that have assembled in Beijing were shadowed by a film crew for an upcoming National Geographic documentary. The program is focused on Turenscape’s role in fostering a “Green China Rising.” The director and crew will accompany Dr. Yu on visits to a series of built projects and works in progress throughout the spring. They are also interested in how the Turenscape team is adapting Yu’s “big feet” landscape aesthetic to new settings abroad.
